    Accommodation websites, NZ

Websites for NZ accommodation that bring in direct bookings.

Booking.com is taking 15 to 20% of every reservation. A site that ranks on Google for your town, loads fast on a phone, and turns visitors into direct enquiries pays for itself in weeks. That's the kind of site I build for motels, cabins and serviced apartments around New Zealand.

    What you actually get.

    • Built to rank for searches like 'motel in [your town]' or 'accommodation [region]'.
    • Mobile-first. Most accommodation traffic is people on their phone, mid-trip.
    • Direct booking flow that doesn't fight the visitor.
    • Real photography front and centre. Honest, not over-styled.
    • Connects to your existing booking engine, or I'll help you pick one.

Accommodation is one of the most competitive search categories in NZ. The good news: most operators have weak websites. Slow, generic templates, hidden phone numbers, no SEO. A properly built site stands out fast.

I built Palazzo Motor Lodge in Palmerston North. It currently sits at #1 on Google for its main local search, has cut their commission costs noticeably, and looks the part. That site followed the same playbook I'd run for any motel, holiday park or short-stay operator.

The basics that matter: structured local SEO (schema markup, NAP consistency, location pages), fast page loads (under 1.5 seconds), a clear booking call-to-action above the fold, and photography that actually represents the place.

I'll also tell you the truth about the channels you use. Sometimes Booking.com is the right channel for filling weeknights. Sometimes it's draining you. A good direct-booking site shifts the balance.
